Veneers can fix a variety of cosmetic issues including chips, cracks, discoloration, gaps between teeth, oddly shaped teeth, and uneven edges. With veneers, you can achieve a natural-looking, even smile with minimal pain and discomfort.
The cost of cosmetic dental veneers will depend on the type of material used (ceramic or porcelain) as well as the number and size of the veneers needed. Generally speaking, ceramic veneers tend to be more expensive than porcelain due to their durability and longevity.
Veneer lifespan depends mainly on the material used. Porcelain is considered a very durable material and can last anywhere from 10-20 years with proper care while composite resin tends to last around 5-7 years before needing replacement. Ceramic veneers can last 20-25 years due to their strength and durability. Regular dental checkups should be scheduled in order to ensure that your veneers are in good condition over time.
Lumineers are another type of cosmetic dental treatment that uses ultra-thin (approximately 0.2 millimeters thick) shells made out of ceramic porcelain which are bonded directly onto the front surface of teeth without any drilling or reduction in tooth enamel like traditional veneers require. They offer many advantages such as minimally invasive placement techniques and improved comfort compared to regular veneer treatments.
